This Spring, my mini sessions were a huge hit! I planned Spring Mini Sessions at two fabulous locations: The Farmstead in Oxford, MS, and The Dixon Gallery in Memphis, TN. I loved each and every family that came by, and I can't thank them enough for supporting me as their family photographer!
If you've never had a photo session before, Mini Sessions are a great way to start out. Not only are they pretty short (about 20 minutes to be exact), but you'd be surprised at the amount of variety that we'll be able to capture!
Mini sessions are fantastic for kiddos, who often can't (or won't) sit still for a full hour-long session. This ensures that we start and end the session on a high note, before the kids get tired or cranky. These sessions are designed to fit into busy family schedules without overwhelming children or adults.
And let's be real — it's way easier to get the hubby to cooperate, too! In just 20 minutes, your family will have done their part, and in a few weeks, you'll have some amazing family photos to print for your house or post on social media.
I often have my mini sessions in the Spring because this is really one of the most beautiful times of the year in MS and TN. Spring is a lot cooler than in summer, so your family can dress comfortably and worry less.
Families often opt for outfits that complement the season's colors, such as pastel tones, floral patterns, or light fabrics that harmonize beautifully with the natural surroundings. This works perfectly with my photography style!
Even though we're only together for a short amount of time, I'm able to blend posed portraits with candid moments so your family will have a well-rounded collection of images. No one will ever know that you booked me for a mini session!

Whether you've celebrating a Spring birthday, anniversary, graduation, or simply capturing the joy of being together, these sessions serve as timeless keepsakes that your family can treasure for years to come.
Beyond the photographs themselves, Spring Mini Sessions foster lasting memories and experiences for families. After your session is over, your family is free to enjoy some time together in the great outdoors, go out for ice cream, or just hang out together! I always love hearing wonderful stories about post-photoshoot plans.
