If I could describe this photo shoot in a word, it would have to be effortless. Samantha and Nolan are so effortlessly in love, it was like capturing the purest form of joy out there. Our engagement session was magical from start to finish. Set against the charming backdrop of Sardis, MS, we chose the Heflin House, Main Street, and a gorgeous field to give Samantha and Nolan the engagement photos they deserved.
Before we get into their story, I just have to say: their connection was so genuine and real. Every single moment felt authentic, and it was a joy for me to guide them through prompts and poses. They were up for anything, and that made all of the difference! We chose three locations with three gorgeous outfits. Have a look!
"We actually went to the same school for years and never crossed paths. He was a grade above me and both of our graduating classes were like 400+ kids. We didn’t meet til my senior year from mutual friends! " ~ Samantha
"Nolan proposed on our land where our future home will be. He had this whole story about us going to eat with his family, but we HAD to go by the land to check on the animals with it being so hot in June. When we were on our road, he told me to close my eyes (which I didn’t, they actually got bigger lol). I never looked at any of the things he setup, I just knew I couldn’t close my eyes!" ~Samantha
"He got me out the car and faced me the opposite direction and left me standing there for what felt like forever. Once I turned around he was down on one knee surrounded by photos of us he had printed in chronological order from the beginning of our relationship to most recent! Of course I said yes to my best friend! He’s proud to say that he planned it all himself, with no help haha! It was so sentimental to us, for him to do it on our land where we will continue to grow. Just makes it so special!" ~ Samantha
"We have been together 5 years, which is so crazy. Time flies! We started what I like to call our funny farm over the last year. We have collected several animals like goats (my favorite), pigs, donkeys, etc! Most of our time spent together is tending to all of their needs, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!" ~Samantha
To commemorate their love story, Samantha and Nolan trusted me with their engagement photos. Their vision was to create a gallery full of natural, loving, and peaceful photos that showed off who they are as a couple. We definitely succeeded! After seeing the gallery, Samantha said:

I couldn't agree more. After visiting the Heflin House, we did a quick wardrobe change and went out to Main Street! Samantha wore these GORGEOUS heels with a white ruffle dress, and it's GIVING. Nolan looked sharp as always in a white button down and cowboy boots. There were so many chic backdrops to choose from here in Main Street, but my favorite was this blue wall, which offered them a unique place to shine.
Last but not least, we headed to a field nearby! Samantha and Nolan frolicked through the grass, sharing kisses and sweet smiles all the way. You two are the cutest!!
