There's something magical about photographing a growing family, and my two sessions with the McFann family was no exception. Jamie and Thomas booked me for a Maternity and Newborn package for their little bundle of joy, Theo! Here are some of the amazing photos we took together.
We had Jamie's maternity session at Hedge Farm, which provided a rustic and elegant setting. I love everything about this place, from the rolling landscape to the towering trees. This perfectly complemented Jamie's maternity radiance, and we captured her new mama glow with ease!
This session was filled with laughter and tender moments as Jamie and Thomas anticipated their new little one. It was clear that there was so much love between them and their new baby already.
Then the day came when Theo popped out into the world! We scheduled his newborn session as soon as Jamie and Thomas were comfortable. That way, they would have tangible proof that Theo was once this small! This session took place in the warmth of their family home.
Every newborn session is unique, and Theo made sure to remind us of that! Instead of sleeping through the session, he stayed wide awake, curious about everything happening around him. Rather than trying to force those classic sleepy newborn poses, we embraced his alertness and captured beautiful moments of his bright-eyed wonder.
With newborn photography, flexibility is key. Babies run the show, and we go with the flow! We ensured plenty of time for feedings, snuggles, and diaper changes, making sure that Theo was always comfortable and content. The result? A gorgeous collection of images that truly reflect what these early days were like.
While Baby Theo was still the star of the show, I loved photographing Jamie and Thomas as they interacted with Theo. Newborn sessions aren't just about capturing Theo's cute baby toes, but about showcasing the love story that surrounds them. And I've got to say, I just love this Toy Story themed nursery!
