Some weddings are simply unforgettable, and Amanda and Lemuel’s special day was one of those. On September 21, 2024, under the warm Tennessee sun, this sweet and adventurous couple tied the knot at First Baptist Church in Collierville.
These two first met on Christian Mingle, and their love just grew from there! It's not hard to see why they are made for each other. Both are passionate about the outdoors and love camping, fishing, and adventure, and they've created so many meaningful memories together. In fact, Lemuel once took Amanda to Heber Springs for the solar eclipse, which has since become one of their favorite camping spots.
From the moment I arrived, I could feel the excitement in the air. Amanda and Lemuel’s wedding was the perfect blend of romantic, traditional, emotional, religious, and classy. The morning was filled with excitement as Amanda and her bridesmaids got ready. She looked absolutely stunning in her gown from Lows Bridal, with hair styled by Courtney Kelly and makeup by Jenny Boatwright. The bridesmaids, dressed in Amazon finds, helped her with all the finishing touches before the big moment.
One of the most emotional parts of the day was Amanda’s first look—not only with Lemuel but also with her brothers and her dad. She saved a separate moment just for her father, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room when he turned around to see his little girl as a bride.
Inside First Baptist Collierville, the sanctuary was filled with family and friends ready to witness Amanda and Lemuel say “I do.” Their ceremony was the perfect blend of romantic, traditional, emotional, religious, and classy, with heartfelt vows and worship that made the moment even more meaningful.
After the ceremony, we stepped outside for portraits. Even though the Tennessee heat in late September was intense, Amanda and Lemuel were all smiles, embracing the moment with such positive attitudes. They were happy to simply take in this special day, making every shot feel natural and full of joy.
The celebration continued with a beautifully arranged reception featuring delicious food by Cindy Krag Catering. One of the sweetest touches? The bride herself made the cheesecakes for dessert, along with the floral arrangements, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the day. The evening was filled with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt toasts, as friends and family celebrated the newlyweds.
This wedding was extra special for me in a unique way. I was 38 weeks pregnant while photographing it! It was definitely a challenge, but I couldn’t have done it without my amazing second shooter, Mary Margaret. She was a huge help in making sure we captured every perfect moment, from the ceremony to the reception.
Amanda and Lemuel’s wedding was a dream to photograph. Their love, their faith, and their sense of adventure made every moment feel authentic and joyful. It was an honor to capture their first day as husband and wife, and I can’t wait to see where life (and many more camping trips) takes them next! Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
